Based on true conversation events! LOL
In the Muslim culture in
our country, regardless if you are a man or woman, when you marry a
Muslim spouse, you are obligated to convert to that religion. It has
always been the way in our country. You won't really have a say in it,
so it is quite a big commitment to date and commit to a Muslim spouse.
And
once you're converted to Muslim, for women, you are required to wear
the hijab most of the time, and in our native language, it's called
"tudung". While for men, you are required to wear the religious cap, or
in our language, "songkok", but only during religious events.
We
are not making fun of Muslim culture. We were just making fun of my
hubby's colleague for being so naive as to confuse his role as being
the bride instead of the groom! XD
